The Cross-Country team ran its way into the record books again this year at the PVAC Championships. The Girls won the banner, for the third year in a row. In fact, this was also the squad’s 4th banner in the last 5 years. The girls scored 49 points and won the meet by 33 points and had 4 All-Conference athletes. Mathilde, Maya and Emma earned 2nd Team All-Conference by finishing 8th, 9th and 11th, respectively. Molly M ’12 led the team and earned 1st Team All-Conf with her 3rd place finish.
The Boys team finished 2nd to St. Anselm’s in an incredibly competitive meet, coming up short by 1 point. It was the closest race in Boys PVAC History and the best score ever by a 2nd place team. Simon won the race by about 40 seconds. Burke had 5 runners earn All-Conference. 8th grader Marcelo broke 20 minutes for the first time and earned 3rd team All-Conference with his 17th place finish. Nick C ’11 earned 2nd team All-Conference finishing in 14th. Colin H ’11, Lawrence K ’11 and Simon C ’10 all earned 1st Team All-Conference by finishing in the Top 7. Read all about it here.
