The bad news is that yesterday’s MS softball game was rained out after two soggy innings, with the young Bengals in the lead. The good news is that the Nats aren’t the only game in town. Heavily stocked with 6th graders just brought up from Triple A ball and some more seasoned 7th and 8th graders, it’s a fun team to watch from the bleachers on a (warm, sunny) spring day. The team is also blessed with wise and (not yet too) wizened coaches; Leo Durocher-types, who aren’t afraid to call for the brush-back pitch and who like to play “spikes up” ball (in a Positive Coaching Alliance kind of way
). So, come on down to the ball yard. But remember, its BYOHD. More photos at BurkePix.
