[Ed: The following is a cool alumni message from David Shapiro:]
When Greg Martin left Burke to study at the Berklee College of Music 3 years ago, we knew that we would be “hearing” from him in the near future. Well, the future is here! Not only has Greg completed Berklee’s prestigious program in three years, he’s also just won the Grand Prize in Berklee’s Annual Film Scoring Contest. In the contest all the entrants were presented with the same dialogue-free three and a half minute film to score. You can read all about the award on Berklee’s site. You also can learn more about Greg’s music at his site.
Greg has said that in a truly successful film score, every note should seem inevitable. You can watch (and listen) to Greg’s perfectly realized, inevitable, award-winning work right here.
