Well, in candor, there actually wasn’t much in the way of singing. But the Parent Association’s end of year party this week did, as always, have good food & drink. There was also a lot of thank yous, hugs and warmth for many of the parents and staff who volunteered to help throughout the year.
Monsanto long ago abandoned its old tag line “Without chemicals, life itself would be impossible.” So, after much review, Burke.Word’s team of lawyers has given us the ok to use the new phrase, “without volunteers, Burke life would be impossible.” School events, parties, the auction, financial development, scholarships, etc., etc., etc. (as Yul Brynner said in the King & I), all depend on you, the parent volunteers, who have done so much to make this past year in Burke Life possible!
